Holiday Mocktail featuring Seedlip

The holidays call for indulgence. A little extra something sweet here, a special date night there, over purchasing gifts for those you love (and yourself while we’re at it). When the holiday season rolls around, most of us tend to splurge in many aspects. The downside of feeding into your every desire is that guilt often ensues. Sometimes we get carried away while we're online shopping or on Zoom with friends and have one too many glasses of wine. Imagine indulging without the guilt. Arguably even more important than indulging guilt free: indulging on festive holiday drinks with no hangover. When it comes to enjoyable evening drinks, my latest obsession has been mocktails. Maybe it’s a Tuesday that felt like a Thursday and I needed something to bring me back to reality. Possibly, I just spent an hour sorting through and responding to emails. Or, most likely, I’m just craving something fun and tasty to drink. Cue: Seedlip Non-Alcoholic Distilled Spirits.

Seedlip allows the consumer to make an espresso “martini” on a Wednesday with no remorse. Have a nightcap without any need for a morning Aspirin. The best part? It is just downright enjoyable to drink. I first learned of Seedlip when my sister made the switch to mocktails to help combat hemochromatosis. Cutting back on alcohol wasn’t the biggest downfall, but no longer being able to experience the joy of a well-crafted cocktail was. She now not only loves Seedlip, but prefers it! Boasting the title “world’s first non-alcoholic distilled spirit,” Seedlip presents tastefully (and eco-consciously) packaged spirits that will leave your tastebuds fulfilled. Best served with ginger ale and a fresh garish, Seedlip is as effortless as it is delicious. With zero carbs, no added sugars or fats, Seedlip is your new non-guilty pleasure.

Seedlip offers three flavor profiles:

Spice 94: boasts warm flavors, aromatic spices, and notes from two bark distillates.

Grove 42: a zesty citrus blend with notes of Mediterranean orange, ginger, lemongrass, and lemon peel.

Garden 108: notes of floral garden peas and hay finished with fresh herbaceous herbs.

Fever Tree Ginger Ale will make the perfect companion with each, but why stop there? My latest interest when it comes to dining and entertaining has been glassware. Vintage, modern, clear, glass, ceramic, you name it, I want it. When presented with the opportunity to make an Espresso MartiNO using Seedlip's Spice 94, I jumped at the chance to drink it from my new metallic gold coupe glasses on a pre-snow storm weeknight. With three simple ingredients, this mocktail will be sure to please anyone at any time or place.

Espresso MartiNO

1. Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker with ice.

2. Shake until chilled and the shaker is frosty.

3. Double strain into the coupe glass of your choice.

4. Enjoy!

Seedlip makes a great gift for anyone who enjoys experimenting with complex flavors and enjoys making cocktails at home. Whether you are sober, taking a break from alcohol, or are looking for a healthier way to consume enjoyable drinks. Jump on the mocktail bandwagon now and save yourself the dreaded holiday hangover.
